Gala participation begins with Club Internal Galas.  These are an integral part of the training program and are the starting blocks to launch swimmers into the competitive field of swimming.  All novice swimmers in the Club are encouraged to take part in Internal Galas.

Swimmers are offered the opportunity to experience the excitement and formality of galas in a familiar, non threatening environment and at the same time instigates some healthy, friendly rivalries with peers within the club.

Internal galas also afford parents the opportunity to support their child and see the results of their training.

It is hoped that swimmers taking part in Internal Galas are encouraged to progress to compete in Open Galas at a more challenging level.

Internal Galas are used as time trials and the results are taken into account when selecting the Aquasprint team.
