The NAC swim club are holding their annual Charity Gala and Mini Minnows Gala on Sunday 19 February 2017 in the National Aquatic Centre in Blanchardstown, Dublin.

The Charity Gala will run all day with morning and afternoon sessions.  This gala is an age group gala and is open to all ages.  Full meet information can be found here.

The Mini Minnows gala takes place in the afternoon, in the 5 lane pool and if for novice swimmers only.  All mini minnows events are 25M.  There are no diving blocks and no electronic timing.  Meet information for this gala can be found here.

Breifne closing date for both galas is Friday 3 February 2017.

Bangor Swim Club held a Long Course gala in the Aurora Aquatic and Leisure Complex, Bangor on Saturday 14 January 2017.

Four swimmers from Breifne Swim Club attended this gala, three from the Competition Squad and one from the Development Squad.

Doireann McNamara and Charlie Gannon from the Competition Squad, entered three events each and Doireann gained two personal best times in 100M Freestyle and 50M Backstroke, while Charlie gained three personal best times in 100M Breaststroke, 100M Backstroke and 50M Freestyle.

Katie Gannon, also from the Competition Squad, swam four events and gained three personal best times in 100M Backstroke, 100M Freestyle and 50M Breaststroke.

Aisha Gannon from the Development Squad swam three events and gained three personal best times in 50M Backstroke, 50M Breaststroke and 50M Freestyle.
